EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
To provide a meaningful and challenging learning experience that fosters students individual strengths, and expands their academic horizons. I will provide a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and promotes a high degree of intrinsic motivation. I will model positive attitudes, respectful behavior, and will promote unity and diversity among tolerance. I will achieve this through the pursuit of continuous excellence, and will leverage my academic and professional background to achieve recognition as a highly valued and respected educator.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Microbiology from Penn State with a minor in Biochemistry. I then received a Master’s Degree in Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I am a certified teacher in the state of Pennsylvania.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Currently, I assist graduate and undergraduate students with the instruction of students in the laboratories and pilot plant processing areas.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am the mother of two amazing young children, ages 18 months and 4 months and much of my time is devoted to them.
