I believe that every student is different. Every student must find the right “fit” as far as instruction in order for them to learn. Along these lines, I try to adjust my communication with everyone I work with. Good communication is key to effective instruction. I believe that I am proficient at providing good communication.

I currently possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of South Caroline. I graduated with honors, having been on the Dean’s List since enrolling. My next goal at this point of my life is to enroll in a Master’s program after I have gained sufficient experience working in my field.

I currently work on-campus as an English tutor and as a private tutor off campus. I primarily work with students who need to improve their reading comprehension and writing skills. I really enjoy my work and I find it extremely rewarding to watch my students strive for their best. I also often work with ESL students, helping them develop stronger English skills and have assisted elementary-school students in developing basic reading and fluency skills.

I enjoy reading, yoga, camping, and film. I enjoy doing crafts. I like going on hikes and writing poetry. I also enjoy meeting new people. I currently am too preoccupied with schoolwork and tutoring to be involved in any on-campus clubs, but I was a member of the Sign Language Club at USC Aiken.
