EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
It is part of a teacher’s job to figure out different ways to reach his or her students. It is part of my passion as a teacher to figure out new ways to teach new or difficult concepts to children.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended Belhaven College, and now am currently enrolled in Belhaven University in order to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. As well, I have a Master’s degree in Education at the University of Mississippi and completed it at Mississippi College. Additionally, I acquired Master’s degree in education in school psychometry at Mississippi College.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach all subjects to students in kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth grades. I have also taught math and history to fifth grade students and science and English to seventh-ninth grade students. Recently, I had the opportunity to teach English to adult learners at a local vocational college.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy assisting with school and district spelling bees. When I served as librarian for a local private school, I was the standardized testing coordinator. I also was responsible for scheduling, setting up, and managing book fairs to raise money for the library.
