EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Teaching must be student-centered and facilitate the interests of students. It is crucial to develop a rapport with students, as creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment is one of the keys to successful learning.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
At the University of Toronto I Majored in English and Minored in both Philosophy and Religion. I enjoy being challenged and learning about different world views. I completed my Honours Bachelor of Arts and was accepted to Queen’s University’s Teachers College.
I immersed myself in my studies and placement, learning valuable information and skills, and maintaining an A average. I also took an Additional Qualification course through Queen’s, making me able to teach Kindergarten to grade 10.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have experience teaching grades 2, 4, and 5. Through these experiences, I learned valuable skills such as creating success criteria together, learning goals, and hands-on student centered learning.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am an avid sports enthusiast, playing in a Women’s basketball league and a Women’s soccer league.
