My firm belief is that all students, regardless of individual differences, deserve a teacher who is passionate and fully committed to helping them discover success. An educator’s role is to provide students with all of the necessary tools required and support them in learning how to use them. It is a student’s responsibility to do the work necessary for academic success, but it is the teacher’s responsibility to teach them how.
I have successfully completed a Bilingual Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on developmental psychology. In addition, I completed my Bachelor of Education in the Intermediate/Senior Division with teachables of English and Individual and Society. I also have my Specialist qualification in Special Education and am working towards my Certificate for Applied Behavioural Analysis.
I have experience working in classrooms since 2007. This includes as a long term occasional teacher, secondary occasional teacher, student success teacher, continuing education teacher and learning support teacher.
My extra curricular focus has been centred in the performing arts. Outside of school I sing with a Broadway Show Choir and insideof school, I facilitate the school choir and act as Stage Director and Voice Coach for school productions.
