I believe that each and every child has the potential to learn if given the proper tools, instruction, and and an devoted teacher. The teacher guides and inspires the student to learn, along with allowing the students to explore, and incorporates that into a learning style for each student. The student and the teacher are a team. They work and learn from one another.
I received my Master of Arts in Education, specifically Curriculum and Instruction in Multicultural Context, from Azusa Pacific University in May 2007. Before that, I received my Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Biola University. Currently, I am working on a Masters of Science in Education in reading.
I started teaching professionally in 2005. I spent two years a a Reading and math teachers for Title One. This program was for students who needed extra help. After receiving my teacher certification I went back to school to become a Reading Teacher because literacy is my passion. I have also had experience working with Urban and Special Ed students (LD, ADD.ADHD and Bipolar.)
I am involved in ACAI: the Alliance of Creative Authors and Illustrators. I have always been interested in writing and publishing, so I joined a group her to learn how to become published. In January 2014 my first book was published.
