I believe that humans are naturally interactive beings. As such, an educator must find a way to introduce new information in an engaging manner. This encourages the learner to interact with this information and synthesize it with the knowledge the learner already has. Students learn best by doing and through conversation. My lessons are never just lectures; hardly anyone learns best through that manner.
I have two bachelor’s degrees, one in Education and one in Bible Studies. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Social Sciences and am nearly done with the degree. I am also pursing an AAS in Computer Networking with a concentration in Data Recovery.
I taught high school for three years in inner-city Philadelphia. I tutored several students at the same time. Subjects included ACT and SAT prep, history, writing, elementary reading and science, and occasionally physics. I also directed plays at the high school and college level. There I concentrated on teaching the dramatic method.
I was editor of both my high school and college newspapers. I participated in student government and in many dramatic productions as well.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
