EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Students learn best in a learning environment that is structured and safe. Engaging students to perform their best includes teacher-to-student and student to content interaction. Use of technology can greatly enhance academic outcomes. Treating students with respect and expecting their best generally sets the tone for excellent achievement.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have worked four years as a special education teacher in k-12 teaching positions. I have an M.Ed. from Grand Canyon University, and am currently finishing up my doctoral program in Organizational Leadership as well. I have an ESOL endorsement from Oregon State University, as well as a certificate for E-Learning and Online Teaching from the UW Stout.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have spent four years teaching students with special needs and English Language Learners. I also spent three years as a University Site Supervisor for Grand Canyon University.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I volunteer for adults with special needs and volunteer at food pantries. Additionally, I am pursuing my doctoral degree at Grand Canyon University. I also enjoy hiking and reading good books.
