I tailor my lessons to the needs of my students using proven techniques, such as differentiation and assessment for learning. I believe that education should be engaging and all inclusive. Many of my lessons are personally tailored to the individual needs and interests of my students. My teaching also demonstrates that I’m approachable to my students.
I have my Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph. I have my Bachelor of Education from Brock University. I have taken an additional qualification course in special education. I have also been instructed in the use of educational technologies, such as Kurzweil 3000 and Dragon Naturally Speaking.
I have three years of full-time teaching experience, as well as many types of teaching related experience on top. I have taught in three separate countries, including one year in South Korea and one year in The United Kingdom. I regularly volunteer in classrooms to test out my lessons. On top of full-time teaching, I have experience with one-on-one tutoring, educational technologies, special education and counseling children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
While teaching in the UK, I hosted a world History Club. Throughout my education, I was involved in a plethora of various extracurricular activities, including Track and Field, Martial Arts, Drama and Symphonic Band.
