I believe learning can and should be fun. Each student learns a bit differently, because each student has different passions/ interests. I believe it is the teachers job to connect the students interest and passions with what they are learning, thereby creating within each student a passion for learning. Our job as teachers is not to get students through school, but to equip them to be life-long learners.

In 2007 I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. I then went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Creative Writing. Writing is something that I am very passionate about and I love sharing this with my students.

I have worked in preschool, elementary, and middle school classrooms. I have taught, substituted, and assisted. I completed my Teacher Ready course and student teaching hours.

I am a staff writer for MuggleNet: the number one Harry Potter fan site. I am also a book review blogger and author. In addition to that I’ve volunteered in both the preschool and student ministries at my church. And I assist in coordinating/ facilitating Financial Peace University classes.
