Education, at its finest, helps us understand the world and broadens our thinking. It should also help us understand the unique gifts that each of us has to offer in the workplace. It is my privilege to teach students about themselves and the world through the subject of English.

I have a B.S. in Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University and two masters degrees in education. I have an M.A. in Arts & Humanities Education from New York University and an M.Ed. from DePaul University in Secondary English Education.

I taught English at the high school and college level for six years in Chicago, IL. Primarily, I taught standard English courses, but I also instructed students in creative writing, study skills, video production, and public speaking.

As a student, I was heavily involved in media production and the arts. As a high school English teacher, I moderated the student newspaper. Today, I enjoy pursuing my own writing and art (photography, painting) projects.
