EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I firmly believe that all students can learn and acquire success in academics regardless of race or economic status. Students need teachers who will encourage and motivate them to be the best they can be. I am a patient and flexible educator who knows the challenges of being a student. One size does not fit all when it comes to education. I create a learning environment that is student center.
I believe in getting to know the students I work with; therefore, I can develop an educational plan base on the needs of the learners. I know that students can be motivated and engage in the lessons especially when their prior knowledge and ideas are incorporated in the lessons. I believe Knowledge is not knowledge until it is given to those who will receive it.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree both from Chicago State University. I majored in Education Curriculum & Instruction in graduate school and Business Administration Management in undergraduate school. I have been able to utilize the knowledge and skills I have gain from my formal education into my professional career.
I am a lifelong learner who plans to pursue my Education Doctoral Degree beginning October 2014. My goal is to continue to acquire a variety of instructional skills that will increase student achievement among struggling learners.
