EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
No one learns the same way; we have to change the way we teach to cater to the individual. When I was in high school, the way that I took notes was a lot different than other people–highlighters and sticky notes just weren’t what I needed. I am an audio visual learner, so I had to teach it to myself or other people in order to fully set it in. I think the best thing to do is gauge how people learn and then work with their strengths.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I graduated as the Valedictorian in my class in 2009 from High School. In 2013, I received my Bachelors Degree in Spanish from the University of Delaware. In the Fall of 2013, I began nursing school and am set to graduate in 2016 with my Registered Nurse license.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have tutored 325 ESL students in person and online with a program that I wrote.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love physical fitness and am a certified personal trainer and group instructor. I have taught classes in cycling, boot camp, pilates, yoga, and cardio pump. Learning languages is also great; I took seven languages while in college.
