Education is a gift for all. My goal is to teach individuals how to use this gift well, for the benefit of all mankind. No matter the social, economic, ethnic, or religious background, all should be allowed to explore their world for the betterment of it.
I received my BA in education at Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. I was a nontraditional student, having reentered college at the age of 25. This nontraditional approach forever changed my view of education. Life experience prior to college truly has its place and purpose.
I spent five years directing youth theater. I consider this to be a pivotal point in the development of my understanding of how important education is, in all its forms. After I received my BA in education, I became a substitute teacher and then a full-time 5th grade teacher at a private school.
I am currently writing and directing my third independent film, and both my husband and I are creating a theater script resource company. I have two young children, a boy and a girl, that keep me very engaged at home! I also run an independent, free-lance photography business at leisure.
