EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every person can learn. Every person has a unique learning style. Instruction should be delivered in a way that makes use of resources that help increase a persons individual learning ability while improving in areas that need academic improvement.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended Shippensburg University, where I attained a Bachelors Degree in History and a Minor in Psychology. I have also earned a Certificate in Reading Fundamentals – Reading Instruction from California State University – San Bernardino. I also have a Special Education Credential that was granted by the Pennsylvania Department of Education Bureau of Special Education.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I currently help students in the areas of Reading, Language Arts and Writing.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I volunteer my time helping children increase their literacy skills by working with several community organizations that are committed to increasing a child’s ability to read.
In addition, I volunteer my time working with individuals who are impacted by the HIV/AIDS crisis work with an organization called Action AIDS, which provides services to people living with AIDS.
