My educational philosophy is that students should be able to grasp information, as well as feel empowered and successful upon completion of any course or class. The goal for me as an educator is for the student to become proficient in the area taught.
I received two Bachelor’s Degrees: Applied Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics Education. I received both degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I have also completed additional courses during my teaching career to keep myself professionally updated.
I have tutored both privately and through a local tutoring service. I also taught 9th grade Algebra and Geometry for one year at a public high school and was a high school math teacher for six years at a private Catholic school.
In addition to my teaching duties, I also volunteer at our National Honor Society and Prom Committee. I have four children of my own and help out with and attend many of their sports and activities.
