Every person has the ability to learn. The key is to find either an emotional or experiential connection to the material. The mind remembers material more easily and can apply it more practically when that connection is made.
I returned to university later in life and gained a whole new appreciation for learning. In 2009, I completed an Honours Psychology Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Calgary.
I am a Registered Professional Counsellor and as such, teaching is an every day component of counselling my clients. In addition, I have extensive experience in editing academic writing.
Although I am not currently firefighting, I volunteered for 10 years and I still have an avid interest. I am currently preparing to launch a website for a new counselling venture.
