I believe that education and learning create a purpose for living. As a teacher, I strive to engage students and show them that they have worth and value. I wish to prepare youth to be satisfied, well-rounded citizens while encouraging them to make a positive impact in the future.
I graduated Trent University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature, while also enrolled in the Concurrent Education Program through Queen’s University. I am now a certified Ontario teacher.
I have a variety of teaching experiences inside and outside the typical classroom ranging from teaching English and Geography Units and working in Guidance and Student Success Departments.
I live an active life playing and helping out with many local health and fitness organizations. I participate in multiple yoga classes a week all throughout the year. I play softball during the summer months and dodgeball during the winter. I also love to cook!
