Everyone learns differently, and students learning styles do not always follow the textbook descriptions. I have found that it is important to learn about the students and then tailor their education according to the student’s experience and understanding. Furthermore, I find that students have an easier time learning if they actually understand the reasoning behind the techniques they are studying as opposed to just memorizing a procedure or formula and then using it.

I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in biochemistry with a minor in chemistry from Clemson University in 2013, and an Associates of Science from Tri-County Technical College in 2010. I have taken some educational courses, however, much of my education knowledge comes from experience teaching all types of students including students with learning disabilities.

I have over 13 years of teaching experience in total both in the classroom and as a tutor.

I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy barbecuing during summer and travel around the world.
