As an educator, I believe that everyone has the ability to succeed given the opportunity. Learning should not be confined to the classroom, but should be applicable to all aspects of one’s life. Thus, it is my aim to provide my students with individualized instruction and attention in order to ensure their success both in and out of the classroom.

In the August of 2014, I completed my Cambridge English CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I so graduated from Queen’s University with the Concurrent Education Program in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and History. I am a certified teacher in Ontario.

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was my time spent at an elementary school in Rural Taiwan, teaching English to grade 3 to 4 students. The experience challenged me as a teacher due to the difference in language competency among the students, and the need for flexibility in the curriculum depending on the individual student. However, I also have experience working inside and outside the classrooms in Ontario and with adult students for ESL.

In my spare time I volunteer as an English Language Buddy at the Queen’s University International Centre. I spend time making silver jewellery at a local studio and going to yoga.
