Structure of the SAT World History

The SAT World History subject test, examines a student’s knowledge of historical themes, including political and diplomatic, intellectual and cultural, social and economic, and world history spanning from the prehistoric era to the 20th century. Questions are categorized into the following time periods: B.C.E to 500 C.E.; 500-1500 C.E.; 1500-1900 C.E.; and 1900-present.

Students that have excelled or enjoyed world history class are encouraged to take the SAT World History subject test in order to showcase their skill and interest in historic events and possibly apply for college credit.

Format of the SAT World History subject test

➪ 60 minutes long (1 hour)

➪ Questions based on students knowledge of historical themes
