EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Truth can liberate us. I believe that education – whether it is at the level of elementary school, high school, university or any other post-secondary institution – allows us to explore the nature of our society, our environment and the complex relationships that govern it. Therefore, I believe that true education – in addition to providing us with a secure place in the society – will give us ultimate freedom.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I completed my high school education in June 2012 and graduated with honours. Throughout my academic career, I accomplished various achievements such as Proficiency Award for English and Science. Upon graduation, I received the Staff Scholarship that is given by my high school to well-rounded students.
At the moment, I am enrolled in University of Western, ON where I am completing my degree towards Honours Specialization in Microbiology and Immunology. In the fall, I will be entering my second year in Medical Sciences.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have worked with children in a volunteer capacity at the Shelldale Center, providing activities and care for young children. I have mentored students in the 9th grade and served as a role model and helped students be prepared for their academic expectations.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I do many volunteer activities, including working at the library and working with elderly people within my neighborhood. I have volunteered to work with children, both young and in high school, and have worked on local environmental campaigns.
