About Me
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that it is the mission of educators to first demonstrate a heightened sense of respect and admiration for academics, but have empathy for those less inclined to desire schooling by relating and discovering common core areas of humanness.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Dillard University located in New Orleans, Louisiana and a Master of Teaching degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. I received my School Librarian credentials from a certification program at Harris Stowe University in St. Louis Missouri.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have ten years of high school English, Literature and Language Arts experience, along with six years of service as a K-12 School/Teacher Librarian.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have played major roles in establishing literary arts, poetry and teen leadership clubs. I have been very involved with after-school activities where teens were afforded opportunities to express themselves through literature, drama and art.
