EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
The more students enjoy learning, the more they will focus on their studies. I approach teaching with passion and humor, and I hope to pass a smile along to students as we are working together.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I believe in lifelong education, and I have taken credit and non-credit classes in different subjects throughout my career. My B.A. is in Humanities from U.C. Berkeley. I earned a Bilingual Teaching Credential from U.C. Santa Cruz. I have also studied Special Education, Interpretation and Translation, and the Philosophy of Art. I am currently in the process of earning my Master’s Degree in Education from California State East Bay.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have worked as a Bilingual elementary school teacher and elementary ESL teacher. I have also been an itinerant Special Education Advocate. More recently, I have delivered over 2300 online ESL classes to students of all ages and backgrounds in many countries of the world. I receive rave reviews for my English classes, and I love teaching online.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am passionate about animals. I spend a lot of time with my two dogs, Miri and Otto. I also volunteer every week at my local Humane Society helping care for homeless dogs who are recovering from illnesses.
