EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Especially in some of the maths and sciences, students sometimes get overwhelmed by how abstract the material seems, and I make a point of giving examples to motivate what the numbers and formulas mean.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended Stanford University, where I double-majored, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts in Music. After undergrad, I moved to Tallahassee to pursue a Masters Degree in saxophone performance at Florida State University. I am currently working on a second Masters Degree in Historical Musicology.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am a certified physics instructor for Princeton Review and have taught classes for students preparing to take the MCAT. I have also tutored, both privately and for Florida State University.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love music and enjoy both performing and attending concerts in the area. I ran cross-country in high school and still like to go to the gym and exercise as often as I can.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
When I wrote the SAT exam, I received a score of 2250 out of a possible 2400. I also wrote both the GRE Verbal and GRE Qualitative and received scores of 167/170 and 163/170, respectively.
