EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that all students have the right to learn and that they can learn. I believe that it is the job of the teacher to go to whatever lengths possible to help students achieve their academic goals. I believe in communication with parents about the progress of their student. I believe that the teacher should have the end result in mind and do whatever possible to help the student achieve that end result.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where I got my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2002. I then went through the one year teaching program and received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Teaching License in 2003. I am a certified teacher in the state of Colorado.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been an elementary school teacher for 11 years. During this time, I taught Kindergarten, I was a reading interventionist and I taught K-5 Science. During my years as a teacher, I was available to any students who needed extra support and I was able to work with several students as well as their parents.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have played the flute since I was in 6th grade. I have also taught private flute lessons. I am also interested in writing and reading and drama and working with students in those things
