EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My teaching philosophy is that all students are equal, in the sense that education should not be perceived as competitive grounds in which strive to see who is better than who. On the contrary, I believe that education is a tool that allows students to work together and help each other understand subject matters.
As a teacher, I find it extremely important that all students have a sense of confidence in themselves and the belied that they can achieve anything they set their mind to. Not only do I find teaching the content matter important, but I also believe that students should go beyond the material being taught and acquire better ways of learning, different approaches to interpreting matters and open-mindedness to others’ voiced opinions. After all, learning is a never-ending cycle and the knowledge adhered is something that one keeps throughout a lifetime.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I am currently in the process of completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with a minor in English. After this, I will be completing my Teaching Degree before starting my career as a teacher.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been tutoring both high school and elementary school students on and off for about five years now. I like to get to know the students and see match their interests to the content being taught in order for them to relate to the subject and grasp the material better.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I always used to visit the old folk’s home regularly after school, which was conveniently located around the corner from my high school. I liked both activities, because I got to interact with many different people and see their views on the world.
