My educational philosophy is all about allowing students to realize their full potential. To do so, I think it is very important to approach teaching in a way that treats them with respect, and speaking to them as equals in order to develop their self-confidence.

I have a Doctorate in Political Science at York University. I completed a Masters of Arts in International Relations from McMaster University. I also hold an Honours, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Simon Fraser University.

I have three years experience as a teaching assistant at the post-secondary level. During my masters, I led two introductory political science tutorials that emphasized basic writing, reading, and presentation skills. Additionally, for the past couple of years, I led a large introductory social sciences tutorials.

I work as a Commissioning Editor for an academic journal, as well as a freelance writer and journalist. I also enjoy long-distance running, squash, painting, and frisbee golf.
