EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
The purpose of education is to enrich the lives of people by teaching them the knowledge and life skills that aid them in the process of socialization, which in turn, enables them to live as responsible citizens of a community.
The attainment of these skills is acquired in a safe and welcoming environment that provides activities that include aspects of critical thinking, inquiry, cooperative learning, and assessment that challenge learners while promoting growth academically, as well as socially. This growth develops as a result of student-centered learning that allows learners to be active and involved participants in their own education while I, their teacher, act as their guide.
My learners are taught not to simply accept the knowledge they are given at face value, but to question and analyze it. As an effective guide, I challenge them to acquire and utilize the information being presented to them.
