EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
As an instructor, there is nothing I enjoy more than seeing students flourish and overcome obstacles. Student’s should be rewarded when they try their best, not just when they get the answer right.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, where I majored in English and minored in Social Studies. I am also a certified teacher in the province of Alberta.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught in varied high school settings in Edmonton and St. Albert, from academic institutions to adult continued education. I have taught both diploma courses and remedial courses. I have primarily experience teaching English at all levels, but I have also taught Social Studies and Math from grades three to ten.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have both liaised and founded various student clubs, including GSA, Martial Arts Club, Fitness Club, and Free Thinkers. I have run whole-school initiatives like Mock United Nations, and I have participated in fundraisers like 30-hour famine and wake-a-thon.
