EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that each child is a unique individual with specific needs. As an educator, it is my responsibility to find the best methods to reach each child and to guide them to their full potential.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Bradley University majoring in Secondary Education and History. I have an endorsement for social studies and language arts at the middle and high school levels.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My professional history includes positions such as a frequent Substitute Teacher as well as a Tutor. I tutored K-12 students in general studies, ACT Prep(English, Science, & Reading), study skills, and homework help. I created and monitored individualized programs for students.
As a Study Hall Teacher at a local High School, I instructed 7th Grade students in study skills and provided one on one assistance in all academic areas.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a Homework Club Supervisor, supervising 3 days per week. I provided individual assistance to 7th grade students in all subject areas. I monitored student progress and provided study skills strategies as needed.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a composite score of 30 on my ACT exam.
