I consider it important to fully engage each of my students by helping them see how the subject matter is relevant to their life. The goal of education is to acquire skills and knowledge that will be used throughout one’s life.

I earned my Bachelors in History Education from Western Michigan University. I then went onto George Washington University to earn my Masters in Politics.

I taught American History and Social Studies for five years in Baltimore and Detroit. Also, I instructed for several years at the high school and middle school levels.

I have served as the faculty advisor for the student government association. I also like to assist with the my school’s debate team to prepare students for tournaments.
