I recognize differentiated learning styles and I adapt my instruction practices to fit these needs. I strive to motivate my students and challenge their thinking and creativity. Most importantly, my students know I genuinely care about them and their needs.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in History from the University of British Columbia. I then went onto complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and obtained my teaching certification for the province of British Columbia. My specialty is middle-school, however, I am certified to teach both middle and secondary school.

I have taught grade seven Social Studies and grade eight English. My professional experience as a substitute teacher has given me the opportunity to teach senior level English and History classes.

With my family, I enjoy hiking, skiing, swimming and golf. I also enjoy participating in bake sales as I am an avid baker.
