EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My educational philosophy is entirely student-centered. Each student will receive an individualized lesson plan that is designed according to his or her learning style and personality to meet their goals. I consider myself a guide that helps each student to realize his or her own knowledge and potential.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my BA from The University of Wisconsin-Madison in History, my MA from The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, and am currently working towards my PhD at St. Louis University in Historical Theology.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I tutored and taught English as Second Language to three to fifteen year-olds in Moscow, Russia and in Ann Arbor, Michigan to senior immigrants. I worked as a camp counselor and enrichment teacher with seven year-olds. Most recently I taught infants and toddlers at a Child Development Center. As a manager, I trained numerous employees.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love to spend time with children and have volunteered at my church in the children’s ministry with infants and toddlers, five through seven year-olds, and junior high students. I love to be outdoors and love animals.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a 31 on the ACT, a 630 on the GRE Verbal Reasoning, a 690 on the GRE Quantitative Reasoning, and a 5 in Analytical Writing.
