About Me
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe in life long learning. I feel that students can find learning in everything they do and my goal as an educator is to foster each students curiosity while support their learning needs. I think it is important to differentiate content to help students reach their full potential, and I try to do this whenever possible.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have completed my Master of Education at Nipissing University. Before this, I completed the concurrent education program at Nipissing University. I graduated with my B.A. in psychology and my B.Ed. at the same time, while having the opportunity to complete 22 weeks of in class placement.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been working as an occasional teacher since May 2014. I also volunteered in a classroom for a year before this. During my undergraduate studies, I completed teaching placements at a variety of schools, and in the summer time I worked at summer school as a tutor in the classroom.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy playing the trumpet and completing DIY projects at home. I am constantly learning and researching new things while completing DIY projects, and I love the sense of accomplishment I have when I finally have a finished product to show off to my family and friends.
