EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Education is so important as it helps develop the mind, which is a very powerful tool. It is something that cannot be taken away (as opposed to material possession) and I think its important for people to realize how important it is.
I believe people learn by doing, therefore practice is key. I also feel a tutor / teacher needs to be very patient and have the capability to communicate in different manners as people learn in different ways.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I studied aerospace engineering at University of Toronto for my undergrad and obtained my B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science in 2010.
Afterwards, I decided to continue my studies there and obtained my M.A.Sc. in Nov 2012. There, I specialized in the space sector. My thesis was on systems engineering for a small satellite.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have tutored high school students while I was in University. I taught them Functions, Calculus and Physics.
I also helped my sister, who is 3 years younger than me all throughout high school as well as university as she also pursued engineering. And during my high school years, I have experience helping my friends with math and physics.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I was part of the rugby team and paddling team during my undergrad. I participated in triathlon relay during my Masters. I enjoy salsa and taking zumba classes. And I love to go for jogs. I also rode a motorcycle for about 2 years and enjoyed it quite a bit!
