When it comes to education I keep in mind that human beings are naturally inquisitive. The only way we can advance as a individuals is to seek out answers to increase our knowledge. It is my goal to facilitate an environment where students can learn the tools to find the answers to their questions. These tools encourage students to look at different narratives on specific topics, to examine all the evidence, so a reasoned answer can be found. Rational thought is the cornerstone of my educational philosophy.

I graduated from Western University in the spring of 2013, from the Faculty of Education. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate majoring in History and completing a minor in English. I’ve also completed several professional development workshops through my current employer. I am a certified teacher in Ontario.

I have taught both History and English at the secondary level. I completed 12 weeks (6 weeks for each subject) as part of my practicum experience with Western University. Additionally, through my before and after school program, I teach children from ages 6 – 12 the social skills they will need in everyday life.

In my spare time I work for Gowan Consulting seeking out new clients for this business, so it can continue to grow and prosper. I try to make out-bound calls daily to potential clients to seek out if there is any need for our services. Forging relationships is my main goal and so far it is going very well.
