Teaching and learning must take place in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Different students learn in different ways, and a lesson should be approached taking the student/class needs and skills in mind.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in History from McMaster University. After this, I went on to receive my Teaching Degree at Brock University and am a licensed teacher in Ontario.

I have taught at the Elementary, College and High School Level. I teach both English and Media, and believe that technology is an essential part of the classroom. I have also been responsible for the creation and implementation of an in-school Literacy Program.

I have been involved in several extracurricular activities for students in the school system including after school literacy and reading programs.
