EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My educational philosophy is that everyone has the capacity to learn and achieve excellence. I believe that there are many different methods of teaching. Success is achieved when the teacher finds out how the student learns the best. My goal is to learn how the student learns.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have an educational background from Harvard University. I also was a member of the Advanced Placement curriculum in High School. I have also taken a class at Harvard called Dilemmas of Equity and Excellence in American K-12 Education in which I had the opportunity to participate in classroom observations.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have had the opportunity to tutor university students in computer science both in person and online. I am well adapted to the challenges of tutoring through various media. I also have plenty of experience tutoring high school students. I volunteered as a peer tutor for Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in high school. I also have volunteer experience tutoring ESL students at the grade 5 level.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a member of the Harvard Track and Field Team. I have also participated in variety of extracurricular activities in high school including debate, speech, model UN, and the volunteer club. I was also a member of the Harvard Ballroom Dancing Team.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a score of 2120 out of a possible 2400 on my SAT exam.
