I’ve found the application approach best helps students understand. Mathematics is a tool but when taught only as such, it becomes daunting and confusing. When students are taught how to use said tool, they grasp the topics more easily.

I received an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Bakersfield College as well as an A.S. in Mathematics and Physics. I am currently finishing my B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics with a Minor in Chemistry.

I have tutoring various mathematical topics for over three years from algebra to all fields of calculus. I also served as a teaching assistant where I held review sessions and discussion sections for various math courses.

Outside of the classroom, I have had volunteer experience both in tutoring and at a local hospital. I try to be active whenever my schedule allows. I also am in the process of writing my first science fiction novel.
