I believe in giving students the tools to learn how to learn, so they can eventually teach themselves. To educate is from the latin ‘educare’ which means ‘to lead out’. I believe a teacher can have a huge positive influence on a student, encouraging them to be all that they can be. I am very patient with students but like to have a good time with them too.

I went to art school for my first 2 years of college. Then I transferred to Florida State and got a BA in Advertising, with a minor in Graphic Art.

I educated my own five children (25-18) at home, teaching all subjects K-12. I loved it! I love teaching!

I enjoy spending time with family, reading, being outside, gardening, hiking, swimming, going to the beach, cycling, playing word games, eating good gourmet foods!
