All students can learn, regardless of who they are and where they come from. Teachers must try to maintain positive relationships with their students that cultivate their learning growth and their potential. It is important that teachers teach students that learning can happen at any age and improve student self-efficacy for learning new subjects.

I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in biology. I am currently obtaining a Master’s in Teaching degree from VCU. I am interested in urban education and educational inequity. I have done research projects within the realms of Virology, Organic Chemistry, and Marine Biology.

I have tutored in my university for 3.5 years. Currently, I am teaching ESL students part-time. I am also obtaining my teaching certification to become a secondary science teacher.

I enjoy running and computer programming in my spare time. I also enjoy doing all of the volunteer work I can do. Helping others achieve their goals is my passion.
