It is my philosophy that all students have the ability and right to learn. Teachers must provide all students with the resources and skills necessary for lifelong learning. Education must include a relationship involving the teacher, student, administrators, family, and community. With proper care and nurturing, all students will have the ability to succeed.

I received my teaching degree from Ferris State University in 2008. I began my first teaching job as a sixth grade teacher in the same year. I formerly worked for five years in a brick-and-mortar school, one year as a full-time virtual teacher, and I have done online tutoring for several years. I have gained extensive knowledge in working with students with diverse needs and abilities, and I work diligently to meet the need of all students.

In the summer of 2008, I began working as an ESL tutor. I worked with Korean adults and youth, teaching them how to speak conversational English. I began working as a full-time general education teacher in the fall of 2008. From 2008-2012, I taught grades kindergarten, fourth, and sixth. More recently, I worked as a full-time virtual teacher, and I taught middle school English.

I taught a craft club and creative writing club. I also collaborated with other teachers to create and support a yearbook club. Personally, I also coach soccer for our local community.
