I believe that every person can succeed with the proper care and attention. Also, each person has their own separate interests and talents which can be used to further learning in any subject. Furthermore, it is my job and duty to make sure that all individuals attain their goals. I use a variety of techniques, skills and methods of teaching to provide a broad learning spectrum for literacy of language and mathematical concepts in order to help enrich the lives of people. In the end, I try to tailor my instruction to fit the person and provide as much understanding and learning as possible.
My educational background includes a Concordia University degree in Sociology and Psychology. I attended Mcgill University to complete a teaching degree in Kindergarten and Elementary subjects. I specialize in mathematics for this age group as well and social studies including history; however I am trained to teach all subjects at the Elementary level.
My teaching experience has been focused in the five to twelve age group. I have tutored for an organization helping at-risk children in the Montreal area. Furthermore, I have also tutored English to recent immigrants to Montreal. In 2011 to 2012 I was a supply teacher at several schools off the island of Montreal.
My extracurricular hobbies include arts and crafts. I have been painting and knitting for several years now and do crafting now and then during the holidays. Furthermore, I am an avid reader and enjoy both fiction and non-fiction books. I enjoy sharing my interests with other people.
