I believe that all students are capable of learning. As a teacher, it is my job to identify the manner in which a student best learns the material and then to deliver the material in the manner the student grasps the subject matter.

I hold Bachelor Degrees in both Education and Science. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education and then went on to receive my Master’s in Special Education. As a life long learner, I am always seeking more opportunities to expand my knowledge base, whether it be through formal education, self study or informal learning.

I have taught from kindergarten to grade 12 math and science. I have taught in inner city schools and isolated communities, enjoying all teaching environments. I also teach friends, fellow volunteers and colleagues in workshops.

I am an avid cross country skier and coached the junior team at one of my schools. My children are just learning now! I am also a fibre artist: I spin, weave, knit, quilt, sew and needle felt. I love to cook and have taught workshops on basic cookery.
