EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that each student is an individual with unique strengths and abilities. I try to discover these natural talents and tailor my tutoring so that each student learns in such a way as to play to their individual strengths.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I am currently a senior student at Georgia College and State University as an English – Creative Writing major. I transferred there from the University of West Georgia, where I majored in English and double minored in Creative Writing and Music. My university GPA is 3.83, and my graduating high school GPA was 3.67.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My first tutoring experience was as a peer tutor in eighth grade, tutoring any subjects the teachers or students requested. I tutored fellow undergraduate students at the University of West Georgia for two years, and have worked as an in-home tutor for a year, besides working for School Tutoring Academy since January 2013.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I loved being in marching band in high school and at the University of West Georgia, as well as concert bands since sixth grade. I play clarinet and bassoon, and am learning the guitar. I love to read and write fantasy and science fiction, as well as to draw, paint, whittle, and carve.
