EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Students learn best when teachers are dedicated, multi-talented and passionate about their subjects. The best teachers nurture their students’ ability to learn and uncover information on their own. Teachers are guides, helping students learn how to learn, how to problem solve, and how to internalize new information.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Alberta with a double major in English and Drama.
I have also studied Education at Concordia College and the University of Alberta. As part of my educational development I studied historical literature, Shakespeare, and more contemporary literature. My background includes student teaching at high schools and junior high schools in Edmonton.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
While in university I contributed a weekly cartoon strip to the university newspaper. In my professional life I assisted with Drama productions and coached the junior high volleyball teams. I also worked part-time as a group home worker.
