I believe that everyone can learn any type of material. Many times, students are forced to learn a subject in a way that doesn’t work for them. It’s important to me to help students learn in their preferred format. Even more so, I believe in assisting students to find what methods work for them so they can be more effective learners.

I have always had a passion for education and learning. Over the past several years, I have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I consider myself a lifelong learner who is constantly seeking opportunities to grow.

I spend time volunteering with Junior Achievement as an elementary school teacher and tutoring children. Additionally, I have worked in higher education for the past four years. As such, I have served as a mentor and counselor for hundreds of adult students.

I spend my free time volunteering with a variety of organizations including Junior Achievement and Shawnee Mission School District. I enjoy seeing students succeed and serving as a mentor. Finally, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as time permits.

I received a score of 30 on my ACT exam.
