Maryland Tutors

I believe that the most effective way to teach a new student a skill is by being patient but also efficient. Students tend to get frustrated when they do not understand something, or are having a difficult time grasping a concept. However, I believe anyone can learn anything, with patience.
I believe that all students can learn if teaching is conducted as an active, structured, and iterative process in which both the instructor and the student participate and are accountable for the end results. The instructor is responsible for preparing and presenting the material in a clear, concise, well-organized manner.
“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” Basic education is even more important because it shapes the critical-thinking skills of a child as he or she progresses into an adult.

St. Camillus Church

St. Camillus Church was first formed in 1951, when Archbishop Patrick O’Boyle signed a decree to answer the “spiritual needs of Catholics” in the Silver Spring area. The parish was named for St. Camillus, who is the patron saint of the sick. Father Grace was appointed as the first pastor, and the first mass was celebrated on November 25, 1951. Church-goers sat on chairs they borrowed from the local funeral home, and those that attended the last mass had to remember to return them. The parish grew very quickly, and St. Camillus church moved in 1954 to its present location. Eventually, the Spanish population grew to such a size in the parish that masses were celebrated in both Spanish and English, and a Spanish column was added to the bulletin.
