EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I am committed to engaging, enriching and empowering all learners through meaningful and challenging experiences that prepare them to understand, adapt and successfully contribute to our changing global community. I believe students should have the opportunity to direct their own learning experiences as much as possible.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I studied at the University of Calgary. I received my Masters of Education, majoring in Educational Research,and specializing in Workplace and Adult Learning. Part of my coursework involved designing e-learning classes.
I received my Bachelors of Education, majoring in Secondary Science. I received my Bachelors of Science, majoring in Zoology.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have over 10 years experience as a sole science instructor at a college for Indigenous students.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love to read just about anything. I take classical guitar lessons. I love camping and hiking in the mountains when I have the chance. I could easily get hooked on computer games, if not careful. Mostly, I like hanging out with my dog and cat.
